OK, so it's been a year and a half since I last posted something here. I've been focusing my energies on other interests -- namely getting my pilot's license -- but now that that's done, I'm really feeling the desire to get back into photography. So I hope to start posting new photos here soon.

Ahh, it feels good to start posting photos again. It's been over six months since the last one, and so I've got quite a few images to post. I've done about two thirds of them, and now it's 7am so I think I will sleep. The rest will be posted tomorrow.

Blargh, haven't taken a picture worth posting in at least a month. I did have a few from a photo shoot a few months ago that I was going to post, but lost my HD, so those are gone. I just don't feel like I can take decent pictures. Perhaps it's because of all the amazing photos I see here on DA, but I don't feel like anything I make even remotely compares, so I don't bother posting it. It doesn't help that these days I'm living alone in PR and do nothing but sleep and go to work, so I don't get a chance to see much that's interesting. To add insult to injury, I work in a room with no windows. At night.

Maybe I'll just head off to the other side of the island this weekend and see what I find. I'd really like to get back into taking pictures. We'll see what happens.

Thank god for homeowners' insurance. It turned out my father was able to claim the loss of my camera etc under his homeowners' insurance. After providing them with receipts, they gave us a check that barely covered the camera. It didn't let me get the mp3 player again, but I can't complain, it's far better than nothing. So finally I've got a 300D again and it's great

I'm moving back to Puerto Rico soon, which will limit my opportunities to take pictures (no access to models, and only one type of environment - tropical), but I'm sure I can find interesting things to photograph. I've been meaning to experiment with strobe lighting and other things like that, so this may be a good opportunity to do that. We'll see what happens.
